Official Opening of a New Academic Year

Today marked the official opening of the new academic year at Sámi University of Applied Sciences. The new rector, Liv Inger Somby, and pro-rector Samuel Valkeapää delivered their welcome speeches, extending their greetings to more than 240 students.

Each year we celebrate the beginning of the academic year with speeches, greetings and a concert. The event is at the Diehtosiida campus in Sáhkaskáidi auditorium 15.08.2023 at 10.00 - 13.00.

 

Get to know our new principal

The Sami University of applied scienses' new rector Liv Inger Somby has now been rector for one week. The Sami university of applied scienses is no stranger to her, as she has previously worked in the institution both with recruitment and as a university lecturer in journalism and film education.
