Presentation of the project “A Sami world in Minecraft: Education Edition”. The presentation will contain the background for the project and perspectives on this development work from Sámi allaskuvla and the University of Agder by Rauni Äärelä-Vihriälä and Line Reichelt Føreland. Lemet Máhtte Eira Sara present perspectives on the use of Minecraft to promote Sami language and culture. Kari Midtsund Nordbø and Eirik Hodne will then present how you can use Minecraft as a learning tool, and Lemet Máhtte Eira Sara will contribute with Sami perspectives.

In this workshop, you will get an opportunity to test and explore Minecraft as a possible teaching tool in the classroom. Participants will practice using Minecraft, receive tips on how it can be implemented in the classroom and get to visit both the Sami Parliament and other worlds based on indigenous peoples' perspectives.
